[edit] Area Quests
To enter Gianthold, you must speak with Cydonie, Agent of Argonessen. She can be found down the first set of stairs on the left as you enter the marketplace from the harbor. Cydonie will tell you to speak with Crag, Gianthold Tor Gatekeeper to learn how to save Stormreach from the Reaver.
There are 11 Gianthold adventures to enjoy in this rugged and barren area. The main quest series consists of three prerequisite adventures to allow entrance to Gianthold Tor, after completion of Tor you can do The Reaver’s Fate raid to save Stormreach. The remaining 6 adventures are side quests you can get at the entrance to each without talking to an NPC first.
Crag will direct you to join the 3 hordes of Gianthold; Storm's Eye, Storm's Fist, and Storm's Heart. Not only do you have to join each, but you must collect 20 each of 3 kinds of relics (60 total) to give to Crag. Relics generally are given in the end chest of each of the 3 prerequisite quests and all 6 side quests.
Additionally, the wilderness area has the standard slayer and rare monster encounters. There are 3 slayer categories, one for each horde; 20 explorer locations and 10 rare encounters.
