Template:Roleplaying Guild

This template is designed for quick and easy creation of a "general facts" Guild page. Please do not edit this page. Refer to "Template Usage" section on this page for instructions.

Template Usage

To make a guild page using this template:

  1. Keep this window open, and open a 2nd browser window or tab
  2. In the second browser window or tab, open the Compendium
  3. Type your guild name in the search box of the Compendium
  4. If no page exists already for your guild, click on "create this page". If another guild has the same name and already has a page, add your server name to the end of your search. Be sure to read the page to make sure that someone from your guild hasn't already created your Compendium guild page!
  5. You'll be taken to a Compendium page that says your page does not exist. Click on "edit this page"
  6. Copy and paste the following into the edit box:

  7. Fill out the information after each equal sign. An explanation of each is provided below:
name = Your Guild's Name
server = The primary server your Guild plays on
type = Roleplaying
Remember: You can place your guild in additional categories by placing category code at the bottom of your guild page. For example, if you are also a family guild, but also a raiding guild, simply add the following code to your guild page at the bottom:
[[Category:Raiding_Guilds]]
description = A little information about your guild
recruitment = Recruitment information (open, closed, invite only, etc.)
website = Full URL of your Guild's website or forums. If you don't have one, a link to your recruitment thread on the forums will do
Then click save and admire your handywork. Your Guild page will automatically be categorized!
