Chapter 1
- Racella Unary, a purveyor of fine defensive bulwarks, told a tale of a legendary shield believed to be within the Orchard of the Macabre. Tales hold that a great hero defended himself with this shield during a battle with Vol. The hero was nearly succesful in defeating his adversary until a young priest of the Lady attacked him from behind. The hero fell. The shield was unremarkable, however its place in history had been sealed. Rumors persist that the young priest was in fact the Black Abbot. When he denounced Vol, the lich shattered the shield into eight pieces and threw them from the peak of the Black Mausoleum. While there is nothing magical about this shield, Racella would like you to find the casing and the eight pieces and bring them to her. She will reward you with one of the shields in her collection in exchange.
