Starting a Compendium Page
From DDO Compendium
Before you can start putting in all that cool information, you need to create a place in the Compendium for your information to live! An easy way to do this is in your web browser's address bar, type the URL address of the Compendium, and after the /wiki/ type the name you'd like your page to be.
Example: If you wanted to make a Compendium page about your Rogue Build, you could use
http://compendium.ddo.com/wiki/My_Rogue_Build
Hit enter and you'll be taken to a page that says:
"There is currently no text in this page, you can search for this page title in other pages or edit this page."
This lets you know that no one else has taken this page name yet. Click "edit this page" and you're ready to start filling your page with information!
If someone else already made a page with the name you wanted to use, you'll see a page that has information already in it. Just pick a different title for your page... "My TWF Rogue Build" "Jefro The Rogue" or anything you feel works to describe your page. Remember that the name you pick is how your page will display in category lists! So "My Awesome Rogue of Pure Awesomeness That Will Beat Anybody In PvP And I Will Prove It To You" is probably not going to be a very good page title because it is very long! Keep your page title simple and to the point.
Once you've made a place for your information, now it's time to start adding it! Click here to learn how to add information to your page!
Remember that anyone in the Compendium can edit your pages, and they are often just trying to help you by fixing little errors or adding extra tidbits to help keep your page up to date with the game. Check the discussion tab of your page for comments and talk with other Compendium users! You can learn more about the discussion tab by clicking here!
