A nice item to put into your trinket slot if you cannot find anything better. Such as the Mummified Bat.
This trinket gives wizards 50 extra spell points, and sorcerors get 100 extra spell points.
If you play enough you will find items that are equal or better than this and you can pass them around.
My advice, take it if you need the spell points, otherwise, look for the Visor of the Flesh Render Guard as the end reward over this item.
If you do not need spell points then this item is useless for you.
