Help! Am I raid ready

I've seen many new players in the game recently and many of them are clueless about raiding. It is not their fault as the resources are quite spread out and can be difficult to find. The help channel and guilds while may help do not always work, especially when the players do not open up. Hence, I'm starting this guide. My primary aim is not to introduce the quest or to state the strategies used. Rather, this will be about flagging as well as getting the weapons and other necessary gear to do it.

However good is the preparation, it is still not sufficient. When you join a raid, go with an open mind and listen real well. People may bark orders but they generally do this in order to get completion. A raid can be fun but failing is a huge waste of time, resources and is certainly not fun.

Tempest's Spine (TS)

L10

Flagging - none needed

Raid - 20 minutes to 1.5 hours

Timer - there is no raid timer

General weapons - smiter, vorpal, dps, ranged

Bane weapons - elemental, evil outsider, chaotic outsider, elf, giant, abberation

Gear - poison proof, disease immunity, underwater action, resist electricity/fire/acid/sonic, remove curse, lesser restore, deathward, freedom of movement

The Vault of Night (Dragon)

L10

Flagging - need to do the following quests in any order: Tharashk Arena, The Prisoner, The Jungle of Khyber, Haywire's Foundry. No need for Re-flagging, but the preraid is done each time together with the raid.

Raid - 1 to 2 hours, consists of a pre-raid, The Vault of Night, and the raid Plane of Night

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - smiter, vorpal, disruption, dps, ranged

Bane weapons - construct, dwarf, undead, dragon

Gear - poison proof, disease immunity, resist fire/electricity, lesser restoration

The Twilight Forge (Titan)

Flagging - need to do Hiding in Plain Sight followed by Bring Me the Head of Ghola Fan! and The Slavers of the Shrieking Mines (last 2 need not be in order). While it is not necessary to have Hiding in Plain Sight done, one would need the ability to teleport to the Footholds in order to be able to advance the raid. No re-flagging is required

Raid - 1 to 2.5 hours, consists of a pre-raid, The Twilight Forge, and the raid The Titan Awakes

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - smiter, vorpal, dps (adamantine to bypass raid boss DR), ranged

Bane weapons - construct, giant, abberation and monstrous humanoid

Gear - poison proof, resist fire/electricity/cold/acid, lesser restoration, deathward, freedom of movement

Against the Demon Queen (DQ)

Flagging - need to do The Chamber of Raiyum, Chains of Flames and An Offering of Blood (need not be in order). Once these are done, a pre-raid (does not directly link to the raid), Against the Demon Queen, has to be completed. Re-flagging is no longer required as of March 2009, but the pre-raid needs to be done each time.

Raid - 15 to 30 minutes, consist of the raid Zawabi's Revenge

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - banishing, dps (cold iron + good/holy to bypass raid boss DR), ranged

Bane weapons - evil outsider, chaotic outsider, gnoll

Gear - resist fire/acid, lesser restoration, shield (spell)

The Reaver's Fate (Reaver)

L14

Flagging - need to do The Crucible, The Prison of the Planesand Madstone (need not be in order). Once these are done,9 dragon, 9 elven and 9 giant relics from the gianthold quest needs to be turned in to open up the pre-raid (does not directly link to the raid), Gianthold Tor, in which 3 dragons has to be killed. No re-flagging is required .Raid - 10 to 15 minutes, consist of the raid The Reaver's Fate

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - dps (transmuting to bypass raid boss DR), wounding/puncturing, ranged

Bane weapons - elemental, giant

Gear - resist fire/acid/cold/electricity/sonic, shield (spell)

Reaver flagging procedure

Accursed Ascension (Abbot)

Flagging - need to do Inferno of the Damned, Flesh Maker's Laboratory, Ghosts of Perdition and Desecrated Temple of Vol (need not be in order). 8 different sigil pieces has to be collected from these quest to form a full sigil to open up the pre-raid (does not directly link to the raid), Litany of the Dead, which has to be completed 4 times, each time killing the end boss of the 4 flagging quests. No re-flagging is required

Raid - 10 minutes to 2.5 hours, consist of the raid Ascension Chamber. Note: this raid due to some special circumstances is not likely to be completed by a regular group

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - disruption, dps (bludgeon to bypass raid boss DR)

Bane weapons - undead

Gear - poison proof, disease immunity, fear immunity, deathblock, deathward and 5 free inventory spots

Abbot flagging procedure

The Thirteenth Eclipse (Shroud)

Flagging - need to do Let Sleeping Dust Lie, Running with the Devils, Ritual Sacrifice, The Coalescence Chamber and Rainbow in the Dark (need not be in order). No re-flagging is required

Raid - 20 minutes to 1.5 hours, consists of the raid The Shroud

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - vorpal, dps (silver + good/holy to bypass raid boss DR), wounding/puncturing, ranged

Bane weapons - construct, giant, evil outsiders, lawful outsiders, orc, reptile, gnoll, elemental

Gear - poison proof, disease immunity, resist fire/sonic/acid, fom, remove curse, deathward

Shroud flagging procedure

A Vision of Destruction (VoD)

Flagging - none needed

Raid - 20 minutes to 1 hour (10 to 20 minutes to get to raid)

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - vorpal, dps (silver + good/holy to bypass raid boss DR), wounding/puncturing, ranged

Bane weapons - evil outsider, lawful outsider, undead (to get there)

Gear - feather falling (to get there), deathward, greater heroism, resist: electricity/fire/sonic, remove curse.

Hound of Xoriat (Hound, HoX)

Flagging - none needed

Raid - 6 to 8 minutes (10 to 20 minutes to get to raid)

Timer - 3 days wait upon completion

General weapons - vorpal, dps (lawful to bypass raid boss DR), wounding/puncturing

Bane weapons - evil outsider, lawful outsider, abberation, undead (to get there)

Gear - poison proof, deathblock, feather falling (to get there), resist acid, lesser restore, deathward
