A prestige class is a variation on the Player Character types that may only be chosen after meeting certain requirements and may not be chosen at first level.

In Dungeons and Dragons Online, the prestige classes are implemented in the form of Enhancements. There are currently 25 class prestige classes and 1 racial prestige class available at this time.

Class Prestige Classes

Each class has a prestige class enhancement for itself, and you can only have one prestige class per class.

Barbarian

  • Frenzied Berserker I, II, III - Unlike most other characters, they do not fight to achieve a heroic goal or defeat a loathsome villain. Those are mere excuses -- it is the thrill of combat that draws them. For the frenzied berserker, the insanity of battle is like an addictive drug -- they must constantly seek out more conflict to feed their craving for battle.

Bard

  • Spellsinger I, II - These magic oriented bards focus on boosting spell casting ability and are able to enhance allied spell casting and heighten spell effectiveness.
  • Virtuoso I, II - Devoted to the sword and the art of song, these bards are able to extend the duration of their song effects and can enthrall multiple enemies at once, virtually paralyzing them.
  • Warchanter I, II - These battle worn bards focus on boosting combat ability and are able to enhance the damage output and physical defenses of allies.

Cleric

  • Radiant Servant I, II - You are a beacon of light against the darkness.

Favored Soul

  • Angel of Vengeance I, II - The only thing stronger than your faith is the fire you use to burn away those who stand against the will of the gods.

Fighter

  • Kensai I, II, III - For the Kensai, perfection is found in the mastery of a single melee weapon. The Kensai seeks to unite this weapon of choice with the body to make them one and to use the weapon as naturally and without thought as any other limb.
  • Stalwart Defender I, II, III - As the name might imply, this character is a skilled combatant trained in the arts of defense. A line of stalwart defenders is a far better defense than a 10-foot-thick wall of stones, and much more dangerous.

Monk

  • Ninja Spy I, II - As the name applies, you are trained as a stealthy killer. Trained in the arts of dark path, you use your abilities for stealth and mobility.
  • Shintao Monk I, II, III - You guide others on the path of enlightenment, leading by example. Invaders from other realities have learned to fear your prowess.

Paladin

  • Defender of Siberys I, II, III - Protecting the weak from the depredations of the strong, you become a paragon of defense.
  • Hunter of the Dead I, II, III - Devoted to the destruction of the undead.
  • Knight of the Chalice I, II, III - You are sworn to fight demons, devils, and other evil outsiders, driving them from Eberron forever.

Ranger

  • Arcane Archer I - The Arcane Archer is a warrior skilled in using magic to supplement their combat prowess. Beyond the woods, arcane archers gain renown throughout entire kingdoms for their supernatural accuracy with a bow and their ability to imbue their arrows with magic. In a group, they can strike fear into an entire enemy army.
  • Deepwood Sniper I - These stealthy rangers are incredibly skilled in archery and are capable of amplifying the destructive power of their arrows. They also make very good scouts.
  • Tempest I, II, III - These dynamic rangers have more skill and expertise in fighting with a weapon in each hand than anyone else. Constantly training, they can eventually become tempests of whirling steel.

Rogue

  • Assassin I, II, III - The Assassin is the master of dealing quick, lethal blows. Assassins often function as spies, informants, killers for hire, or agents of vengeance. Their training in anatomy, stealth, poison, and the dark arts allows them to carry out missions of death with shocking, terrifying precision.
  • Mechanic I, II - These crafty, intelligent rogues are masters at locating traps and disarming them, finding secret doors and lock picking, and can even repair constructs.
  • Thief-Acrobat I, II - These lively rogues are skilled combatants and are extremely difficult to pin down in battle. They are unequaled in their ability to avoid damage from enemies.

Sorcerer

  • Air Savant I, II, III - You have focused your training on elemental mastery over lightning.
  • Earth Savant I, II, III - You have focused your training on elemental mastery over acid.
  • Fire Savant I, II, III - You have focused your training on elemental mastery over fire.
  • Water Savant I, II, III - You have focused your training on elemental mastery over ice.

Wizard

  • Archmage I, II, III, IV, V - You are an advanced practitioner of the magical arts, allowing you to bend spells in unexpected ways.
  • Pale Master I, II, III - The Pale Master is a devoted student of the necromantic arts.

Racial Prestige Classes

Racial prestige class enhancements function just like class prestige enhancments except they use up a prestige class for a specific class. However, you don't have to have any levels of class it represents in order to take that racial prestige enhancement.

For example, Elven Arcane Archer I takes up the ranger prestige, so you can't take a ranger prestige class if you have Elven Arcane Archer I and you can't take Elven Arcane Archer I if you have a different ranger prestige. You also don't have to have any levels of ranger to have Elven Arcane Archer.

Also, hybrid races like half-orcs and half-elves sometimes have access to racial prestiges that belong to their parent races. For example half-elves have access to Elven Arcane Archer I.

Elf

  • Elven Arcane Archer I - The Arcane Archer is a warrior skilled in using magic to supplement their combat prowess. Beyond the woods, arcane archers gain renown throughout entire kingdoms for their supernatural accuracy with a bow and their ability to imbue their arrows with magic. In a group, they can strike fear into an entire enemy army. - Replaces: Ranger Prestige

Half-Elf

  • Elven Arcane Archer I - The Arcane Archer is a warrior skilled in using magic to supplement their combat prowess. Beyond the woods, arcane archers gain renown throughout entire kingdoms for their supernatural accuracy with a bow and their ability to imbue their arrows with magic. In a group, they can strike fear into an entire enemy army. - Replaces: Ranger Prestige
