Adding Info To Your Page
From DDO Compendium
Adding information to your page is very easy! It works very similar to making a forum post and using bbcode; if you can post at the Community forums, you can wiki!
- Make sure you are logged into the Compendium. You won't be able to add to your page without being logged in.
- At the top of your wiki page, under the "Article" tab, click on the "Edit" link. This will open a large text box on the page.
- Then - just start typing up your build, guide, or guild page in the text box! You can write basic text to display in the page, and save it when you're ready.
- When you're ready to save your page, at the bottom, after the text block, click the "Save Page" button. (You can also use the "Show Preview" button for a general idea of what your page will look like)
Congratulations, you've made your first wiki page!
Sometimes you want your page to look different than just plain text. If you'd like different formatting - such as bold, italics, and more - you can use wiki codes to modify how you'd like that text to appear. You can even use many HTML tags for formatting, and they translate well to wiki. When you use the wiki codes, the Compendium will automatically convert your text and codes into the appropriate style and formatting.
Remember that the text will be plain with no formatting unless you've added wiki or html codes. There are many different wiki codes you can use to change the way your page looks. Click here to learn some of the basics of how to make your wiki page look great!
